In India the accountability of the government servants are very minimal, the public servant who is responsible for any mishaps or problem is let off without even question them. Don’t you think so that government of India is responsible for giving permission to setup the deemed university and they are making a regular assessment and monitoring the deemed universities. Now when the standards are not met who is the prime accused here is it the public servant who has to safe the public interest or the Businessmen who does it to earn the money, no doubt that both are punishable but who this the prime cause for this act, it’s no doubt that it’s the Public servant and government. The government should publically announce it’s failure in controlling standards of the deemed university and should take very serious steps in improving the education in our country.
The better solution would be to provide still some more time to the deemed university to up grade their system and make strict regulations and monitor them better instead of closing down the deemed university. This shows the inexperience of the government in handling some sensitive issue. The public in general are losing the faith in this government.
